What is your favorite motto?
My favorite motto is: “I will always try to see good, say good and do good. I accept the gifts from all of my experiences. I am living in grace and gratitude. I stay positive.”
When and where are you the happiest?
I am the happiest when I am taking a peaceful walk in the woods with my husband Evan, my daughter Annika and my two dogs Maya and Ruby.
What is your definition of Fitness?
We achieve physical fitness when we have developed cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance and flexibility, but we must also be balanced emotionally, energetically and spiritually. When all of these things are in harmony and we are 100% embodied in mind, body and spirit, then we are fit!
How do you define health?
I define health by citing the Sivananda school’s five pillars of yogic balance. These pillars encourage us to embrace all of the following elements for a healthy, balanced life. The five pillars are: Right exercise, right breathing, right thinking, right nutrition and right relaxation.
What is your favorite yoga posture?
Right now my favorite yoga posture is Parivrtta Parsvakonasana or revolved side angle pose. It’s very grounding and very twisty!
