Pickleball Injury Prevention Workshop with Courney Fitzpatrick, PT/DPT
Love pickleball or any sport? Keep the love alive with Yen’s on-staff physical therapist, Courtney Fitzpatrick!
Yen’s Pickleball Injury Prevention workshop is designed to help pickleball players of all levels understand and prevent common injuries associated with the sport.
Split into two sessions, Part 1 will focus on injury prevention for feet, knees, hips and low back. Part 2 addresses the shoulder, wrist and elbow.
In each workshop, Courtney will guide you through a series of exercises and techniques aimed at strengthening and stabilizing these areas, reducing the risk of injuries commonly seen in pickleball. You will learn proper movement patterns, stretches, and strategies to optimize your performance on the court while minimizing pain and discomfort.
All participants will receive a home care pickleball package, which includes a TheraBand for resistance training and six home exercise programs specifically tailored to prevent and manage pain in the foot, knee, hip, low back, shoulder, wrist, and elbow. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a licensed physical therapist and take proactive steps towards injury prevention in pickleball.
While both sessions can be attended individually, we highly recommend pairing parts 1 and 2 for a comprehensive understanding of injury prevention in America’s favorite court sport: pickleball!
Cost:
$50 per individual workshop; $90 for both
