Warm Flow for Florida

“No one has ever become poor by giving.” –Anne Frank

The moment you unroll your mat in class for the first time, you join a special tribe.

This tribe is about many things, but what really sets yogis apart is their compassion for others. This calling is exemplified by the word dana (DAH-nah).

What is dana? Dana is a form of generous giving that expects nothing in return. Such giving includes donation of food, clothing or money to the needy, but it also includes offering gifts to family, friends and neighbors as an act of generosity — again, with no expectation that the recipient will reciprocate.

Ukraine. Cherryland Humane Society. Women’s Resource Center. Donations for specific families in urgent need. These are ways in which Yen Yoga yogis have given through the years.

If the concept of dana has stirred something within you, join our lovely Leslie for a donation-based class to help those in Florida who are picking up the pieces from Hurricane Ian. Leslie’s class – called “Warm Flow for Florida”– is this Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9-10:15am.

Your donations will go to such things as food, shelter, hygiene items, clothing, baby supplies and much more. From reports we know that the devastation ranged far and wide with loss of power, shelter, and very sadly, human lives.

Please note: All are welcome to this free class! You do not need to be a Yen Yoga member.

It’s the perfect way to practice dana…and send your light and love to those who need it most.

Donations are collected by The Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch.
